In the survey described in more detail below, you will be asked to choose which of the two proposed moissanite rings is more appealing to you. By answering questions like these, RADIANN can, based on statistical analysis, precisely quantify where and to what extent you find value in the products we offer.
As a provider of ethical jewelry, we believe that not only should a product’s appeal be clear, but its price must also have a proper justification. We would be grateful if you could participate in this survey so that we can confidently present that justification.

About RADIANN's All-Moissanite Rings
First, before beginning the investigation, let me once again explain the features of the All-Moissanite rings we offer.RADIANN was one of the first companies in Japan to begin offering moissanite jewelry in the early 2000s. As a pioneer in moissanite jewelry, our brand has been supported by many customers and continues to grow every day. At the same time, sellers who do not properly understand moissanite have continued to proliferate, increasing the number of poor-quality products and creating copycat stores, and we have received inquiries from a great many people. Having worked earnestly with moissanite, as a jewelry brand we carefully select and use only stones with superior clarity among moissanites. We have been deeply pained by customers' comments such as, "I bought one and it looked like a glass bead," "I was disappointed — I'll never buy moissanite again," and "But I felt RADIANN might be different; can I trust RADIANN?"
We asked ourselves, "How can we properly convey to many people the true splendor of genuine moissanite?" In the end, we concluded that "the real thing is what needs no explanation—its beauty is understood at a glance." Moissanite is a lab-created stone, but, like natural gems, the manufacturing process and cutting techniques can create a world of difference in stone quality. With that in mind, we developed the ring "PHOTON," made exclusively from pure moissanite, which shines beautifully and sets your heart aflutter. It is precisely because RADIANN uses high-quality rough stones and has confidence in its craftsmanship that we can create the finest moissanite rings. Drawing on RADIANN's years of perfected cutting expertise, we developed the "Rhombus Cut" to maximize moissanite's brilliance and brought the world's first jewelry of this beauty to life.
And furthermore, we upgraded PHOTON, the crystallization of our technical expertise, and by leveraging moissanite—known as ethical jewelry—for its "brilliance," "hardness," "durability," and "easy maintenance," and embedding an IC chip inside the stone, we realized the jewelry wearable device "RIVETRING"（リベリング）that can be conveniently used in a variety of situations (patent pending). The name is derived from the English word "riveting," meaning "exciting," and we aim to deliver rings that make your heart leap.
Having understood the background of RADIANN described above, we ask for your cooperation in a survey to determine what kind of added value you perceive in RADIANN's jewelry. On the next page we will explain the survey method called a "choice experiment" and ask for your responses.

About Investigations
You will now be asked to choose which of the two proposed moissanite rings you find more appealing. Each moissanite ring is assigned certain characteristics. There are four characteristics, which are explained below.
（１）First, regarding convenience as a wearable device. Depending on the IC chip and services used, RIVETRING can function as an electronic lock worn on your finger, and can also be used for contactless payments and as a transit pass. Favorite jewelry is something you wear every day. Many of the wearable devices commonly seen today lack the beauty and sparkle that make you want to wear them every day like jewelry. This item fuses next‑generation technology with jewelry to deliver both fashion and functionality. How people evaluate these wearable features is one of our interests.
（２）Next, we will discuss the "brilliance" of the moissanite we offer. We are currently the only company offering rings made with Pure Moissanite, but we expect imitations to appear in the future. However, the reason we can confidently offer finished jewelry that other companies cannot replicate is that we have optimized moissanite processing techniques through research and development (design patent pending). In fact, simply cutting moissanite does not produce the ideal light reflection we can achieve; it can cause a phenomenon inherent to moissanite called doubling (double refraction), which makes the stone look white and cloudy and lowers its value as jewelry. After optimizing the moissanite's brilliance, if we set the quality of brilliance we can provide at 100, the quality produced by typical cutting techniques only reaches about 30 to 40. How you value the optimized brilliance of our moissanite is our second point of focus.
（３）Third, we will discuss jewelry coloring. Moissanite can be artificially treated, offering the advantage of allowing color changes to suit personal preferences—something natural stones cannot do. As color variations, we can offer a wide range of options such as black, blue, yellow, and more. Our third point of interest is this: if it were possible to change a colorless, transparent stone to your preferred color, what kind of value would you find in that?
(4) In addition to the three characteristics above, please add price (after tax) as a characteristic, so that a moissanite ring is defined by these four pieces of information. Apart from these four points — for example, design and size — the two options are exactly the same.In the following questions, we will show two hypothetical moissanite products at a time. Please consider which of the two you find more appealing. We will ask each respondent seven such questions; for each one, please indicate which product you feel is better.
