This morning I was surprised by something I saw on TV. Some of you may have seen it too.
They were polishing pearls to create flat surfaces, making them shine like diamonds 💎
A unique kind of brilliance, a little different from the usual pearl luster❣️
I was like, what on earth is this? 💕
Because pearls are usually prized for being perfectly round and free of scratches or dents, I was deeply moved to see someone creating something so beautiful from a completely different idea—and to have perfected that technique 👏
They also said they can’t make many of them, so it seemed they’re selling them entirely overseas.
From here it’s just my speculation, but I think you probably need fairly good-quality pearls to be able to polish them. That said, I was wondering if polishing could perhaps turn pearls that aren’t perfect “Hanadama” grade into something exquisite.
Of course there are people who prefer the subtle, modest luster of pearls,
but I thought there must also be people who can’t resist that indescribable sparkle,
so I was watching the TV program.

New ideas don’t come easily, and even if you think of one you might wonder if it’s feasible, but I have nothing but respect for someone who took on that challenge
I also think Radian owner Aya’s idea is wonderful 👏
For example, instead of pairing a pearl with a diamond, the idea of pairing it with moissanite makes a lot of sense to me.
The pearl is the main feature, right? So the pearl’s quality absolutely needs to be good. Usually the accent diamonds would be of modest quality, but if that’s the case, there’s no need to use diamonds. Beautiful moissanite is prettier, kinder to your wallet, and isn’t it the best choice!?
It was a day that made me once again want to be able to view the obvious from various perspectives 💓
