What kind of gemstone is moissanite?

It's a gemstone that looks just like a diamond, but,
Moissanite is the name of the single gemstone 'moissanite'.
Let's find out what kind of stone this is.

Universe

Moissanite originates from the universe.

It originally traces back to a mineral discovered in meteorites that fell from space. It is almost never found naturally on Earth — a new mineral identified from meteorites. Named after the researcher Henri Moissan, it is a new mineral made of the substance "silicon carbide." That is moissanite. Eventually, because of its exceptionally beautiful brilliance it was recognized as a highly valuable gemstone and began to be produced "artificially" by Charles & Colvard. Although its origin is a new mineral from space, it is now a new gemstone produced from the substance "silicon carbide."

Features

Features of Moissanite

Moissanite'sIts brilliance is about 2.5 times that of a diamond, and it is vastly superior in many aspects such as color, clarity, durability, and price.

The only area where a diamond has the advantage is hardness (a diamond's Mohs hardness is 10), but moissanite also boasts a Mohs hardness of 9.25 or higher, so the difference is minimal.

One of moissanite's appeals is that it costs only about 1/5 to 1/50 (or less) of a diamond, making it affordable and perfect for everyday wear.

Popular with a wide range of customers

This is truly『 next-generation gem 』.

In the moissanite world—where fortunes rise and fall and companies appear and disappear—we have steadily gained fans every year since our founding.
High-quality yet affordably priced, with excellent durability and hardness and resistance to fogging, it’s very popular for everyday use.

Moissanite, which RADIANN supervises and manages entirely in-house at its own workshop—from production through to sales—is a scientifically advanced stone made from silicon carbide, the same material as natural diamonds.

Its brilliance is extremely close to that of a diamond.

It boasts a level of quality so high that even diamond testers and professional gemologists find it difficult to distinguish with the naked eye.

Because it's moissanite, we use the round brilliant cut

The "round brilliant cut," best known from diamonds, is a cutting method executed symmetrically in all directions (top, bottom, left and right). However, for many natural gemstones, variations in color quality and the presence of inclusions make it extremely difficult to apply this cut and achieve perfectly symmetrical brilliance.

Natural stones of 1 carat or more—particularly those of 2 carats and above—are extremely difficult to obtain due to limited mining quantities and their rarity.

Radian has achieved high-quality moissanite through years of expertise and rigorous quality control. We craft jewelry that fully brings out the natural brilliance of the "Round Brilliant Cut"—renowned for its perfect symmetry and exceptional sparkle—and maximizes its captivating color.
