Today I was packing up dishes as part of moving preparations.
Usually I feel like I don't have enough dishes and wish I had more when plating food, but once I started packing them into boxes they kept coming out one after another as if 'Is there really this many?!' No matter how much I packed, it felt like it would never end 😭
Even though I have this many dishes, I realized again that there are few I actually use every day.
When I look at dishes I don't use regularly
Expensive dishes somehow don't feel right for everyday use, so I only use them when guests come — maybe once or twice a year 😆
Also there are quite a few pieces that are awkward to fit in the dishwasher, or are heavy, or just don't make me want to use them — so even if I have a lot of dishes, the ones usable every day are limited, I realized 🍽
I have lots of clothes too, yet every season I still wonder 'What was I wearing this time last year?' and get stuck deciding.
Now I'm decluttering every day, and next I'm organizing my jewelry box, thinking "I didn't realize I had so many things I don't use..." and feeling a bit sad 🤣
With engagement rings, thinking about the sentiment and price makes me nervous about wearing them every day 🥺
Also, jewelry I bought when I was younger can be a bit too cutesy, or silver pieces need a lot of polishing before use, so I also don't really feel like wearing them now…
